Hofbrauhaus

Hofbräuhaus is a so called “beer palace” in the Old Town of Munich. In 1589, Bavarian Duke William V. ordered the construction of the Hofbräuhaus brewery to supply the Wittelsbach court and its staff. Today, the Hofbräuhaus is a famous attraction for tourists from all over the world counting up to 35,000 visitors each day.

Frauenkirche

Munich’s landmark is the 99m high Frauenkirche (Cathedral of Our Lady) in the center of the city. Remains of a historical religious building have been found at this site, dating back to 1240. The remarkable towers with their onion domes make the church a unique sightseeing spot.
