11th Earth Hour at the Park Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz
Lights out for the 11th ‚WWF Earth Hour‘ at Park Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz
Tomorrow for the ‚WWF Earth Hour‘ the lights at the Park Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz from 8:30pm to 9:30pm will be going out. This WWF campaign will be taking place for the 11 time and should raise awareness that environmental sustainability is a value which is important for us all. Over 7000 cities and hundreds of millions of people worldwide will be taking part – Big Ben, The Great Wall of China and the Brandenburger Tor will remain in darkness. „During this out we will be turning off all non-essential lighting in the public areas, such as the lobby, restaurant and bar. Our guests will be requested to take part in this campaign and turn off the lights in their rooms. Through this we aim to demonstrate that it comes down to the participation of every individual and all together we can set an example for environmental and climate protection“, explains Jürgen Gangl, General Manager of the Park Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz.
In our candle-lit bar guests can enjoy a cocktail which was specially created for this occasion, the ‚Earth Hour Cocktail‘ – the blue cocktail with alcohol contains Pampero Rum, Blue Curacao Syrup, cream and pineapple juice, the yellow cocktail is non-alcoholic and contains orange juice, lemon juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, and grenadine.
